Einstein's VR Lab
Einstein's VR Lab by SPREE Interactive is the free-roam VR version of Einstein Brain Trainer by BBG-Entertainment. Help Einstein to solve a series of puzzles and chase micro wormholes through the whole laboratory! Can you find and bring back the lost theory of relativity?
This is how the game looks in Unity! After the LookDev was approved, I cleaned all the assets, built a lot of new ones and oversaw the implementation of all the mini-games (which I had either adapted for VR, based on the Einstein Brain Trainer by BBG-Entertainment, or created from scratch).
Einstein explains that a black hole ate his theory of relativity and the players need to follow the trail of wormholes that leads through the lab.
To find the theory, a number of puzzles must be completed - the progress is displayed on the highscore board, so groups of players can play competitively.
There are four challenge rooms: Math, Logic, Memory and Visual. Each room houses multiple possible mini-games that fit the room's category.
Math challenges typically require players to calculate something and/or keep track of a calculation.
Logic challenges often require abstract thinking or pattern recognition.
To spice things up, players often times have to interact with props and examine them from all sides, to find the correct fit.
In the Memory category there is.. well.. memory, of course!
But also a Simon says variant with fancy glowing generators and a lot of colourful lightning!
Visual challenges contain the Gordian Knot, also with a lot of sparks if wrong cables are connected, and cool energy pulses once the right cable is found.
After they have completed the needed amount of riddles, the players return to the center floor and (hopefully) celebrate their victory!
